Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ocean State and about 300 guests celebrated and raised funds for a great cause at the third annual “The Big Toast.”
Guests dressed in Roaring Twenties style, wearing flapper dresses and fedoras for this Great Gatsby-themed tasting event. Each guest was greeted at the door with a glass of The Spiced Pear’s private label sparkling wine provided by The Chanler at Cliff Walk.
Guests then had a chance to sample great food, wine, beer, and spirits from an assortment of vendors that so generously supported this event. Students from Johnson & Wales volunteered their time and talents that evening to help organize, greet, prepare, and serve, all under the guidance of their professor Chef Instructor Branden J. Lewis, MBA. Chef Lewis was the Honorary Chair of the event.
The organization is very grateful to the many people who helped make The Big Toast a success. We hope to see everyone at our 2014 event!
